As a fan of Fallout 3 (with over 120 hours of my life invested in the game), you’ll understand my excitement at getting a chance to demo developer Obsidian’s forthcoming sequel, Fallout: New Vegas. At London’s Eurogamer Expo, a mob of gamers vying to grab one of the 20 or so available consoles surrounded the New Vegas stall. As fortune would have it, members of the Bethesda PR team started throwing out T-shirt freebies as I waited in line. A horde of swag hogs stampeded in their direction, thinning the queue for the demo, and leaving a console free right in front of me.
