For anyone living under a rock this week, besides PSN going down, the biggest thing going on in gaming is the launch of the Gears of War 3beta.

Specifically, the launch of the Gears of War 3 beta for those of you who pre-ordered it from GameStop. Those who bought Epic Games’ smash hit Bulletstorm, had access to the beta on week 1.

      I don't really know much about Gears 3, but have they made any changes for the third? After stomaching all the Halo sequels that were idolatrously praised despite lacking the innovation that critics so vehemently insisted upon for everything, I was afraid that this was going to be another Microsoft-published franchise that decided to not bother changing anything.

        other than new weapons and characters, i doubt theres much new. they did say the online is much improved over Gears 2 though so theres that i guess.

        Halo was original when it came out though. The first was pretty innovative, why mess with something that's fine? It's a sequel, it's supposed to be the same as the others. To be honest I think Uncharted and Gears are just as overrated as Halo.

    Black Ops: Escalation is awesome so far! A few minutes ago I came across a blog that's giving out the Escalation DLC for free! I thought it was a scam until I saw the DLC code laying in my e-mail inbox.
