The "Semi-Official" Warhawk Hands-On Preview

This isn't just a preview by anybody, it IS from the editors of the Semi-Official Playstation blog, ThreeSpeech, and as such this is a Semi-Official Preview. For those that don't know, Warhawk will be releasing at the end of August on two mediums - Disc and Download via the PSN Store.

Now for the details from the preview, which you should read yourself, but here are the quick highlights:

  1. You can choose to either host your own server, join one that somebody has already made, or join a dedicated one run by Incognito
  2. Four modes of movement (Foot, Jeep, Tank, Warhawk), with Warhawk being the actual Jet in which you can fly/hover.
  3. Numerous Game Modes including: King of the Hill, Deathmatch & Capture the Flag

    Can't wait for this looks amazing. To anyone who played the Beta how big is each map compared to other sized maps. Are they like 40 player maps on Resistance?

    Warhawk maps are HUUUUUGE. I can't properly compare them to Resistance since I've only been in 20 people games on that (Warhawk is much bigger), but jeeze, it would take forever if you decided to walk. Some are tiny though, which can be quite fun when you have 32 players =D

    This game is a must-buy for PS3 owners.

    Resistance's maps compared to Warhawk's are really small in comparison (Yes, even 40p -Large- Manchester). It's basically needed to have a vehicle to get around the maps. Each stage has different sets of maps (All out and dedicated Dogfight maps included).

    Forgot to explain...there are many stages (from forests to ruined cities), and there are multiple types of maps with each stage.

    I am not into this type of game but its coming out to be opne that I am definatly getting interested in and with what it is offering for multiplayer it is just getting better and better.
