Rage is the upcoming intellectual property of ID Software. No matter how successful they are on the market, one thing is always certain when it is about ID Software: Innovation. Rage will come with mesmerizing visuals and new engine technologies, created by John Carmack.

Well, John Carmack is no longer interested in game development and he is not interfering with any of ID Software's game content. He is mostly behind the technological side of things and developing game engines. Rage, ID's upcoming title, will use the next generation IDTech 5, which is also one of Carmack's creations.
