Both Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil Revelations are coming out for the Nintendo 3DS, with Mercenaries dropping next week on the 28th. IGN tackles how each game feels and plays versus the other.

As crazy as it sounds, two new entries in the Resident Evil series are heading to Nintendo's newest handheld. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D drops next Tuesday, and Resident Evil: Revelations is currently slated for a 2012 release. With two RE games headed to the same system, it's only natural that comparisons should arise. I've already played my way through my retail copy of Mercenaries (my full review goes live Tuesday, June 28 at 8:00am PST) as well as two different demos of Resident Evil Revelations. Even though the latter is still unfinished, meaning subtle improvements and additions could still be made, here are my thoughts on the next portable entries in this classic survival horror franchise.
