A new Preview of Metal Gear Solid 4 is up from Chris Scott of Hooked Gamers. According to the article, the game is looking to live up to expectations. According to the preview, MGS4 will cater to FPS fans by allowing the player to switch to First-Person mode and keep it that way for the duration of the game if they wish. The writer also states that the game borrowed a few elements from Gears of War, such as the action commands and grenade mechanics.

Solid Snake has been through a lot; 20 years of gaming history will do that to you. Not many gaming franchises live to still be relevant 20 years after their initial deployment but Sony is hoping Snake’s shoulders are broad enough to carry their gaming system to the next level. As the game is yet to be playable, at least by anyone outside of Konami, there is a lot of speculation on Hideo Kojima’s latest potential masterpiece.

Taken ideas from gear of war? LOL! That's really funny.

Hideo gets most of his ideas from old movies, but most are his own.

It wasn't like whole ideas from Gears, but just a few little details apparently. Like throwing the grenades, for instance.
