Also, yes Seeker X. All of them are referances to bosses out of MGS1.
There's no such things as miracles or the supernatural, only cutting edge technology.
Just calm down and take your medicine. I don't know who gave you thumbs down, nor do I care but reacting like that is plain outrageous and uncalled for.
These games have always had a supernatural edge to them and if you don't like it all I can say is that you really are going to miss out on what's looking to be one hell of a game !
I just don't like the idea of fighting machines all through the game. I want human bosses to fight and one machine like the classic MGS setup.
The only one that seems to be a machine is crying wolf, but I think that might be a person too as its based off a real model
It's still like fighting a machine though but who knows what happens, Hideo was maybe hinting that they might get their humanity back at some point in the game.
I don't know about this new look they all have. Sure, Phsyco Mantis was over-the-top, but that was about it for MGS. Every following game pushed it further and further. I liked them all as people, they were great enemies with very well-done personalities. I actually felt sorry for them. I felt a bit of shame after killing Sniper Wolf. I pitied Phsyco Manitis. I didn't want Vulcan Raven to die like he did. I even felt sorry for killing Octopus and I didn't know what the hell was going on. You just can't get that feeling from a machine. Chimaira hit the nail right on the head.
Oh well. The game still looks incredible nonetheless, but I'm not too fond of a number of changes in the Metal Gear franchise. It's losing it's originality.
Again, I'm sure it will be an amazing game, and I know I'll love it, but I'm not really getting too much of an MGS feel from it.
And what MGS feel? The game tries to make everything as realistic as possible as to try to explain HOW these things are made (shit, just look at Python from Portable Ops, he's a human ice dispenser and it STILL looks possible...not to mention Jaeger/Null in PO as well). The gameplay is completely remade so instead of being behind enemy lines, you're in the middle of a war...how's THAT for tension?
Yes it might be becoming to futuristic, but MGS has always been about progress.
MGS1 had stuff about cloning which is basically talking about birth. It also talked about passing on genes to FUTURE generations.
MGS2 was more about technology. It had people that were just AI who could think just like a human, which to me is very futuristic.
MGS3 being set in the 60's had very low technology.
Now MGS4 being set in something like 2015 you would expect the game to become futuristic.
More gameplay trailers need to be shown and in my opinion this setting will get boring real quick.
Laughing Octopus = win. She looks great!
(( You find this out when she deflects RAY's bullets and sacrifices her life ... ))
All you've seen of these bosses is a 2 minute cut-scene ! I hardly think that's enough to judge them on - nevermind the entire game !
The females aren't all metal either ... these are just women in technological suits.
Hideo has even hinted that part of the game will involve these woman finding the truth and changing back. I think the fact these people are woman adds even more depth to the characters as woman can easily transfer emotion and feeling (( Stereotyping much ... ?? ))
No, we're supposed to give our opinions and what we think of the bosses so far.
Yes please
I know its just your opinion but I think FRoGBuster took it a little to far by talking about characterization and emotions of the characters - that's going a little bit to far from what little we know about the bosses at this present time (( we still have no idea what their personalities are like ))
