It’s been just a few months shy of two years since we last say THQ’s primary UFC franchise. Why has it taken so long? Simply put, THQ wanted a longer development cycle so they could make more meaningful changes with the third entry in the series, changes that an annual cycle just doesn’t give them an opportunity to make. The question now is whether it has been worth the wait. We sent sent Luke out to take a look and get up close and personal with the newly revamped Career mode. And from all indications, this could very well be the best UFC title to date!

Last week I got to take a look at one of my most anticipated games of 2012, UFC Undisputed 3. Though the game is merely a month away from release, this was the first time I was able to try my hand at THQ’s latest entry in the MMA fold. While I didn’t get to spend as long as I wanted to with UFC Undisputed 3, I did manage to spend quite a bit of time with the revamped career mode. Despite only getting a mere taste of what the full game has to offer, what I saw showed lots of promise, and has me even more excited to get my mitts on the final build.
