Some more screens have popped up for the upcoming Sonic RPG, these ones displaying the team in some kind snow world. They can be found via the source article.

Chronicles is set two years after Sonic's last defeat of Dr. Eggman (Dr. Robotnik as some prefer), and does not return as a villain in this one. The story begins such that Sonic gets a call from Tails who says that Knuckles has been kidnapped by the Marauders, and that six chaos emeralds are missing (quite a job keeping those safe).

The game is set to be released in Europe this June, and in the fall for North America.

There are two acts, one taking place in the standard Sonic universe and another in a darker, more mysterious world. In addition, there is talk of a “twist” between Sonic and Dr. Eggman, something that alludes to their encounters in previous games.

Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood will make extensive use of the stylus and touch screen in controlling Sonic and his pals (Phantom Hourglass-stylee, we imagine), but also to interact with a variety of context-sensitive elements.

Chronicles combat will be a turn-based affair similar to Mario and Luigi’s past RPG efforts.

Bioware could do to Sonic what Square did to Mario.

    I hope.

I shall pray, because Sqeenix did something GODLY with Mario. Let's hope a smidge of that godliness rubs off on Sonic.

Maybe. Bioware does a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned. The Sonic series is apparently good anyways, so maybe you won't need to pray at all?

Please make my dreams from many years ago come true, BioWare...

Wait, are we Europeans getting something reasonable far ahead of America or I am mistaken?

Is it just me or are the Europeans finally getting a game before us? Good for them.
I've always hated the Sonic series, but I might just have to test this game out.

      I saw that sentence too...

They're breaking the natural order of things! >__>
      > Japan gets it first because they made it and sacrificed their souls for superiority above the rest of humanity
      > North Americans get it next because we are willing to pay the most for it and are greediest
      > Europeans get it last because you have oh so many languages and will eventually overthrow NA once we implode ourselves

This is how it works. >__>

Since when did they begin to do this, and why are they going to do this? It's unfair to us North Americans.

Well, if I have the money, I'll be watching out for this game. Or at least, reading various reviews.

But I'm kinda knowing how they've slaughtered Sonic in the past, so I hope that won't happen...as much.

Me too, I am a huge Sonic Fan. I probably will get it if I'm not too busy with other games
