Sigma Harmonics: new Square RPG looks terribly unique

chautemoc | March 26, 2008 | Previews | DS
A new RPG from Square is in the works for DS. The good news? It looks like most nothing else you've seen in this realm, has a mystery-ish storyline, but still has the RPG staples you hold dear (like levelling up). The bad? It's being directed by Hiroki Chiba, who was the event director for Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerberus (crap). As always, no word on a NA release date yet. Some more details included below, and more scans can be found through the source.
· Yusaku Nakaaki is doing the character designs (Dirge of Cerberus sub-charcter and mechanics designer).
· Kitase is producing.
· It's an Adventure RPG.
· You hold the DS sideways like a book.
· Development is 60% complete.
· Has a mystery/murder story.
· The game uses RPG elements (level up by experience gained from battles, etc).
· Story is divided into chapters, in every chapter a new mystery happens.

I didn't find anything wrong with either Final Fantasy VII or Dirge of Cerberus

Just DoC for me. Perhaps I should've phrased that a bit differently.
