Activision planning to go for "DJ Hero"

Chris7689 | April 24, 2008 | Previews | Playstation 3 Wii Company
With the success of the Guitar Hero series, Activision plans on throwing in some turntables as another instrument. Though this isnt a new idea, it will definitly give it the one up on Rock Band. The game will have some nice features attached to it as well....
The trademark refers to "computer game software and related instruction manual sold together as a unit; interactive video game programs; computer game discs; downloadable software for use in connection with computer games; video game controllers; interactive video game comprised of a CD or DVD sold as a unit with a video game controller." It looks like your guitar is going to get a friend.

This will put all of us who Dj into a state of shame. This will simplify Djing so much that any novice will think they are as good as those who have done the real thing for years.

How do you know, seriously this could require alot more skill than Guitar Hero and it could easily be like the drums in Rock Band and actually teach people the basics, i mean there is a lot more they can do with decks than they can on a guitar with 5 buttons.

But the exact same can be said for Guitar Hero or Rock Band. "oh well Guitar Hero simplifies a guitar. And beginners will think they can play a guitar."
      So whats the big deal?

So they want to copy Beatmania now?

Or actually not. Interest concept, but I doubt how well it is going to execute.

I feel very bad now. I made a joke a day or so back, about Activision doing a "Beatmania Hero." And it sounds like they heard me. WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

EDIT: lol why the thumbs down? Bad joke or am I really at fault for this? Oh wait, one of them is gone.

I hope they go to some Old-School Rap. They have to put in Eric B and Rakim's Microphone Fiend. They just have to.

I hope they put some good dance, trance, hardstyle etc. music on it. But that willl be fun, i mean i would consider getting it. It'd be a lot of fun, but not as good as the real thing.

I think this game will be the rap/hip-hop version of Guitar Hero.
I see like 1-5 Techno songs on it. Some DJ Q-Bert, too.
