Splatterhouse screens arrive

Following up on the announcement of a new Splatterhouse game, Namco/Bandai have released some screens of the upcoming title to the public, and they're pretty horrific (horrific=awesome).

Namco / Bandai and BottleRocket Games have released some new screenshots showing off their beefed up reinvention of the classic Splatterhouse game. Nastier than a handful of bogies, Splatterhouse looks like it's going to live up to its name and its heritage by being gorier than a spanish bullfight.

    They're making a new Splatterhouse? haha I don't even remember how old I was when I played this. The censors think they have GTA and Ninja Gaiden to blame violence on? Wait til this surfaces.

    Screen shots look pretty good. Looks like the changed up this face in effort to any lawsuits 'cuz the first splatterhouse guy was a dead-rip off of Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th.

      Im guessing they didnt want the stigma about it this time around either..the first time was probably spinning off the success of F13 a little bit, this time they want it to stand more on its own feet, which it definitely can. If you look at the artwork from the linked article though, he looks roughly the same as here.

    I played it when I was like 5!! This is good news but I don't like the screenshots. I hope it's set in a creepy house again, otherwise I might not like it
