The new PlayStation Move title Sorcery has finally hit the market. Is this new fantasy title a hit or miss? Leviathyn.com's Stephen Daly has the review.

RealGamerNewz reviewer Jay Rivera takes to the PlayStation 3 exclusive Starhawk in this review an analytical approach to the campaign with some ongoing notes about the multiplayer, and his score and review in full as well.

"Sonic is about the primal joy of speed. Scenery collapses into a blur as the blue hedgehog reaches maximum velocity, pinging across a network of springs and ramps. It’s an endearing experience. Going this fast is fun. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II invites players to surrender to the game’s frenetic level design, to let it wade in the spectacle of going really fast."

After the disappointment of Episode One back in 2010, can SEGA redeem themselves with the second? The developers promised to fix the problems that players had with the first game while adding many new features into the mix.

Capcom has had a strong year so far. Dragon's Dogma is the latest game released by them in 2012. Does their latest a fantasy RPG prove that new ideas can still work or will it flop like Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City?

"A plethora of games use the theater of war as their centerpieces, relying solely on the battles fought by ground troops. With first-person shooters still on the rise thanks to Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Halo, it’s no wonder why the trend has continued for over the past decade. It’s rare then, when a developer decides to tell the story of conflict through navies or aerial forces. Konami and Gaijin Entertainment decided to take on that challenge by rolling the clock back to the 1940s with B..."

"Relating to a videogame protagonist can be tough. Most times our fearless leads, with their admirable actions and handsome faces, are nothing more than vessels. They’re personae to which we attach our ideals. If a game’s presentation and influences are smart, this is easy to do. In Prototype 2, it is not."

"Time slows, and the precision of bullet-time gunplay reflects alcoholic, pill-addicted Max Payne’s focused determination in a narrative of personal redemption, and an existence he perceives as out of control – thrown to the wind, yet gripped like a vise."

Adam Siddiqui takes on Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2. Like Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Episode 2 fails to fix some issues of the first title and doesn’t deliver the classic Sonic experience that was promised in 2009.

"DiRT 3 ushered in a new discipline to the DiRT franchise which, while remaining as high quality as the racing and trial events, was considered a weak link by many. The ‘hoonigan’ antics of Ken Block appeared more fun in videos than to actual play them a lot of the time, with the difficulty ramping Electronic Theatre Imageup so quick that only the truly skilled, or dedicated, could compete beyond the first few challenges. The announcement of DiRT Showdown was met with a lukewarm response as fo..."

VGBlogger.com reviews Sorcery, the long-awaited PlayStation Move exclusive spell-casting fantasy action-adventure game from Sony Computer Entertainment America and The Workshop.

The biggest question that needs to be asked is, do gamers need to be fans of the show to understand the game? Nope, although some might say knowing the show helps gamers understand the story better. The Game of Thrones game has some interesting concepts in combat and storytelling, but the graphical bugs and sluggish pace warrants the question; should gamers put down Max Payne 3, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, and Diablo III and rush out and buy it?

Max Payne 3 tells a compelling, non-linear story about a broken man that's trying to forget his past and instead, has trouble find him all over again. While the gameplay may seem a bit narrow, its gritty narrative helps you care for Max as well as feeling his seclusion to a miserable world/life he ultimately despises.

"In the time since GRAW concluded, the Call of Duty franchise has soared to momentous heights and consequently claimed a vice grip on the shooter market.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is the first of a three step program to retake the market that Ubisoft once dominated, with steps two and three being the next iterations of Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell respectively.

I can objectively say that it’s the most polished Ghost Recon title to date, and it’s one hell of a breath of fresh air."

"A high-fantasy tale for which the delivery edges towards the mature market, Dragon’s Dogma begins with a short tutorial informing the player of the basic mechanics, such as combat and using Pawns. These are artificial intelligence (AI) comrades who will work with your towards your goal. They can be hired and fired, and will gain experience as they work with the player. In a nutshell, they are the key innovation of Dragon’s Dogma: allies that act similarly to those of Dragon Age: Origins, but ..."

The fifty-first round of Articles of Excellence has been won out by a review for the intriguing game known as Journey by Monterey Jack. Scoring it a glowing 9.4/10, he explains the why behind the name as he discusses the engrossing graphics and music that accompany the simple gameplay to create a game he describes as an experience you should try at least once.

Warhawk was a blast to play on the PS3. Starhawk looks to make it even better. Air and land combat return to Sony's platform with crazy new features. Stephen Daly of Leviathyn.com takes aim at the futuristic shooter.

With tons of blood and a plot for revenge, Prototype 2 looks to improve the original game while providing an addictive collecting aspect. Stephen Daly of Leviathyn.com takes the title for a spin.

"Umbrella just won’t die, will it? Yes, Capcom’s zombie series epic Resident Evil is as perpetual as the zombie virus in those poor people of Raccoon City. Resident Evil 4 remains one of the most intense survival horror experiences ever designed, but Capcom has been tossing the license around quite a bit these days. Whether it’s movies or HD re-releases, the Resident Evil name is the mark of fame for zombie outbreaks. With Resident Evil 6 on the way, Capcom let another studio take the reins of..."

"Our protagonist is the kind of guy you want to like, but is just such a complete ass you eventually resign to the fact that he’s never going to get it right. He’s the downtrodden excuse for a hero that Ubisoft originally sought out to make Sam Fisher appear to be in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, were it not for a backlash from the audience at such a suggestion. With Max Payne however, Payne himself has always been a rather brash personality, and so that he’s now turned to the gritti..."

"Now approaching its summer release, Namco Bandai Games’ Inversion is heading straight into a heavily competitive genre. While third-person action videogames come in all shapes and sizes, there are very few that manage to compete on the same level as the current-generation’s defining offering, Gears of War. Having rewritten the rulebook for the high-definition era, Epic Games’ Xbox 360 lovechild is still sitting pretty at the top of the genre pile, but while Inversion gleefully borrows from th..."

Hoping for a Sid Meier's Pirates 2? Well you got Port Royale 3 instead. This sim game features fleet building, exploration, and even town management as you aim to ride the seas. Levaithyn.com's Travis Freese takes the wind and tide as he review Port Royale 3.

Sega still doesn't seem to get it right. With a glorified Tails episode, Sonic 4 closes with a very mediocre attempt to bring the blue blur back to his roots. What's worse is that you can't even play the best part without buying both parts.

"Launching today as a PlayStation Minis (PS Minis) title, Velocity is a scrolling shoot-‘em-up with a difference. While the screenshots may tell you that you’ll fight patterns of enemies in formation and travel through a retro styled science-fiction setting, they hide a number of more innovative mechanics. Velocity may be set to be delivered as a diminutive downloadable package, but there’s nothing small about its ideas."
