"In light of some decisions recently made by third party developers, I believe I have some ideas as to why it's hard to sell hardcore third-party titles on the Wii.

So what do you do? The Wii doesn't have all the technical features of the 360 or the PS3. So how can a third party make a Wii hardcore title that can compete with 360 and PS3 hardcore titles? EA actually had a pretty good idea with Dead Space: Extraction. HD console owners who like Dead Space would be interested. Plus, there ar..."

""Dante Alighieri wrote the greatest work of literature of all time. He was also a wimp. Not just any wimp: a creepy wimp. In Dante’s Inferno, the game loosely based on the first third of The Divine Comedy, Dante is a built cut of man-meat willing to do anything to retrieve his beloved Beatrice, who has been spirited away to Hell. In real life, Dante did love a woman named Beatrice, but he did it from a distance.""

"Video Games are fun. I’m not about to say that they are not. I’ve grown up playing them and I couldn’t imagine a world without them. But with the oppressive winter the Midwest has been seeing, it’s given me a few ideas as to what exactly gamers could be doing outside of playing video games. Hopefully, come spring you just might take me up on at least one of my ideas. If nothing else go ahead and open a window once it warms up a little since I’m sure being snowed in all winter hasnâ€..."

"If ever a gaming genre has become a lightning rod for brow-knotting aphorisms, it’s real-time strategy. Conventional wisdom dictates that RTS has failed to crack the console market in this or any other generation, despite repeated attempts from talented teams, and its native PC home has been relentlessly attacked by pirates in recent years. It’s a two-pronged assault to which even the biggest names in games have apparently no answer, say the worriers."

"Army of Two: The 40th Day is a testosterone-fueled cooperative shooter that improved on what the original set forth at doing – delivering an experience that is 99 percent aimed at males who enjoy drinking beer and playing cooperatively with their action-oriented buddies. What about the other 1 percent? Well … let’s say they must enjoy B-action movies, full of clichés, to gain any sense of gratification out of The 40th Day."

"Since the beginning of cinematography, creators have constantly attempted to break the perceived fourth-wall in order to bring their audience into the universe they have set out to create. Derived from stereoscopic photography, 3D film, television and computer graphics essentially show the viewer two separate perspectives of the same image in order to create the illusion that the object in fact inhabits the same real-space as the viewer. James Cameron’s Avatar has received much acclaim for ..."
