Metal Gear Solid 4 has been recieving some fantastic reviews lately. Just take a look at Metacritic and you will see that the average rating of the game is 93/100.
The main complaint with MGS4 is that it might not meet every fan's expectations. But that's only natural for a game as well hyped as this one.
But nevertheless, the general consensus is that most players will have a great time with MGS4.
Here's a look at what various reviewers had to say...
Gamepro (100/100): The Playstation 3 finally gets its "savior", Kojima gets his masterpiece, and gamers get one of the best games of all time.
IGN (99/100): "If you've ever loved any one of the Metal Gear games, or any moments from the series, there will come a moment when MGS 4 will send your spirits soaring. If you've loved them all, well then there'll be many, many more. It's a masterpiece."
Maxi Consolas (95/100): Metal Gear Solid 4 is a work of passion by Hideo Kojima. Often touching the line between genius and madness, he manages to build a truly epic ending to one of the most essential series in videogames history. Improving most of the elements from the previous titles, MGS 4 is a unique piece by its conception and nature, which rightly deserves the love of fans and the respect of all players.
IGN AU (95/100)" But where MGS4 really succeeds is in delivering an experience unlikely to ever be surpassed by Kojima ever again, providing fans everything they want to see, twists you wont expect and more raw, lavish creativity than the video gaming medium probably deserves.
Edge Magazine (80/100): "MGS4 is not the game it could have been; nor is it the game it would have been had the series grown with the benefit of hindsight; nor is it the game it should have been if you believed that early trailer. But it is faithful to its fans, its premise and its heart, delivering an experience that is, in so many ways, without equal."

Strange you'd give a game that offers an experience "without equal" an 80/100, lol.
So at the moment this score is worthless as it could easily go up or down, its too soon to be quoting metacritic scores
I gotta admit, I'm a little surprised that MGS4 is getting lower scored reviews than the average "super hyped" game. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but I'm getting the impression that alot of reviews are giving off the vibe of "it's a fantastic game, but not quite what fans were expecting". I just hope I enjoy the game once I play it and don't leave disappointed.
