The Mario Kart franchise has been one of the great successes of the gaming industry and has been for 15 or so years. Fans all over the world were getting excited (and nervous) about the new version’s imminent release - would it take things to the next level? Exactly how different would it be? Would the wireless technology hinder the gameplay? It's been out for a few months now and If you havent yet bought the game or have just bought a Wii and are interested in purchasing the game - check out this review.

Now I’m sure this has happened to all of us. Frequently. Too frequently - you’ve been in first for quite some time. It’s the last lap. Just coming up to the last corner. Heart pumping. Sweat dripping from forehead. Using every bit of willpower to avoid scratching the itch on your nose as you know it will all be over soon. Victory is guaranteed, surely? But, no. The computer/friend/bastard fires a blue shell at you. 5 karts whizz past. Controllers are smashed, discs are snapped and friendships are broken.

If you have a Wii, then I would definitely recommend buying this game. It has some pretty solid single player modes, great fun with friends, and is one of the best online Wii games on the system so far.

Only problem, you'll be having plenty of nightmares over:

lol That's funny, 'cause that's what happened to me with MK DS. And, I swear to all that is divine I was once hit with 7 blue shells in a row on MKDS, which has scared me from MK sense...

So this game would be a renter for me if I ever get over my fear... of... Of the blue shells -_-
