Only The Games' Erik Rapson pens his review for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Playstation 3.

The game got a final score of four out of five.

Oddly, it’s something of an accurate send off that’s true to the rest of the series. It embodies the era of gaming in which it was first conceived. But old times and everything that once stood as grand and mighty within them ultimately slip away as distant memories of what was once common and accepted. For all your shortcomings Old Snake, you will always remain an old and timeless symbol of heroism. But like like all legends, you exist better in memory.

They didn't sound very amused, do they? "Admirable, yet flawed... something of a fumbling mess."

Now if this was Halo, you can guarantee they'd throw a 5/5 before ever playing.

Out of 47 metacritic reviews, only 8 of them are under 90%. That leaves 39 reviews at 90% or above; in fact the majority of the remaining 39 are 100%'s.
