Sigh: I wanted to love this game. Heck... I wanted to like this game. But what did I get? Balanced play marred by technical problems. And let's just say that when the JayCat is the most accurate, well... perhaps your auto aim is a wee bit powerful.

A buddy of mine plays this on PC, and after listening to him rave about ET:QW I couldn’t wait to try this out for myself. It had a lot of the things I like in an FPS game: lots of different toys, and lots of opportunity to really use some great tactics. My PC playing buddy plays as a generalist. He is aware of what is going on and changes his role on the fly in order to fill in the missing pieces. When he plays as an Engineer, for instance, he never, or rarely fires his weapon. He is too busy playing a supporting role. Even though he may never get a kill he is near the top in exp. This sort of tactic minded team play really appeals to me, which is why I was so disappointed in the MP game.

This game came out about 2 years too late, IMHO. It would have been a hit in '05 or '06.

I played the demo, it seemed okay to me, but its definitely more of a PC game than a console game. I might actually buy it for the PC if I ever get a better computer.

Don't bother, the PC version is dead.

A bit of a strange statement

"A buddy of mine plays this on PC, and after listening to him rave about ET:QW"

Seems like we left from a review into a tale of fiction really fast. It seems many longer term players on ET:QW found it a bit displeasing as time passed. The problem for many of the people I know that got into it was that the squad consistency wasn't remotely close to what you could get in something like BF2 so it choked as these alternative objectives offered no actual action.
