Gamingverdict Editor Matt Lees takes the latest LEGO offering out for a quick spin to see how it matches up against its predecessor. Misunderstood gem, or overated and oversimplified? Hit the link for the full lowdown...

Like its predecessor Lego Star Wars, it’s essentially the videogaming equivalent of Tellytubbies; you either love it, or you’re too grown up for your own good. Colourful, cheeky, simple, and mindless, the Lego games are a welcome revival of the 3D platformer genre that has long since swung out of fashion.

Honestly though - I picked this up for my DS, and it isn't all that bad. I am not as big a Indiana Jones fan as I am a Star Wars fan by far, but still - its good for a pickup and play and put down when you are done.

I didn't read the article because I loved the Star Wars games, and played the Indiana Jones one as well. I love them all and believe everyone should check them out. The Lego Indiana Jones game (played the PS3 version) was good, though I enjoyed the Star Wars one better. I think that's just the whole story-line though because I liked the Star Wars characters.

But, This game is great and shouldn't ever be put down as a "kiddie" game just because it's legos, or the graphics are not realistic. Try it out. If you like the movies and wouldn't mind humourous takes on them, then you'll enjoy it!

This game isn't casual, it might be aimed at non-gamers, but it's not casual.

I don't know, I was thinking casual might be a decent classification for it because it can be beaten (story-line) fairly quickly with not too much trouble. Why do you think casual wouldn't fit this game (sincere question here, wondering what others classify as casual) and is more toward non-gamers?

I wanted to get this game so much, then I remeber Lego Star Wars. Epic fail right there, dontcha know.

Actually, most people would disagree on that "epic fail." Lots of people liked it. I guess you didn't though. I'd say still check out this one, but pretty much the gameplay is similar, so you'd not like this one either.
