Only The Games' write their review for the Atari published and Eden Games developed Alone in the Dark. A reboot to the 1993 game of the same name. The final grade is 3/5.

"Sadly, there is a disappointing air about the whole experience; behind all the poor mechanics there is a fantastic game trying to keep itself afloat. Alone in the Dark never rises to the surface, but it also never sinks completely. Eden Games' long and laborious effort to reboot an old and sagging franchise is a meandering example of variety, creativity and sheer ambition. The experience is always engaging and sweeping but also incredibly frustrating at every poorly conceived moment. They certainly deserve another chance, although sadly, you'll probably never see that fully realized beauty of game that they are striving for. Instead, you'll just have to stick with this tarnished gem."
