Soul Calibur IV review by the Queens of the Pwn Age

wildcardx | August 05, 2008 | Reviews | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
The Queens of the Pwn Age review Soul Calibur IV for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Quite a good video review, well worth checking out! For more by the QOTPA you can also take a look at their Myspace page (listed here).
[A]lmost all the characters return.. but not Hwang.. because he was just a clone with a dirty sounding name. For the same reason there is also no Li Long.

lol, they have electricity in Scotland?

I thought it was just shanty towns and farms and stuff.

Is this some knock off band of The Queens Of The Stone Age? I've never heard of them but their name sure is original *cough*

yes it is. and QOTSA is awesome. they were aiming for a unique name, (theyre not homosexual if thats what your thinking), and besides, their original name was gama ray, but lawsuit threats made them change it.

Wouldn't they also get a lawsuit for their current name? You would think after one lawsuit they would stray away from the copyright infringement. Not too bright if you ask me. Also, that didn't even come to my mind, them being homosexual.

I hope they know "Hwang" is pronounced with a soft A-sound, like an "ah" instead of an "ay."

    Definately Scottish.

Pretty muchs sums SC up. New game sounds and looks very promising though. Pretty good/funny review.

Ok, I watched the review...and I just can't stand these two. Their jokes...I don't know if I can even call them jokes (how many friggin' times did they make fun of the characters names?), were terrible, most time spent chatting with each other rather than 'reviewing' the game. Meh.

And their accents. Oh god, how annoying.

Agreed. The Hwang-joke struck me as especially annoying. It's only funny to them because they can't pronounce it properly. As if we don't already have enough Americans snickering whenever someone's last name is "Wang" (same soft A sound as I mentioned before).

They should've kept count of how many genitalia jokes they stuffed in there. Trying way too hard; should have kept the laughing at a minimum at least.

Donnelly... maybe your profile is wrong.. but it seems to suggest you are from Scotland Your comments are just a bit weird considering that is all Although I suppose it is fair enough to find a Scottish accent annoying when you live in Scotland.

I find them quite refreshing, it's nice to see reviews that don't take themselves waaaaaaaay too seriously like most do. I don't think they were "trying to hard" in the least, in fact it didn't really look to me like they were trying hard at all... just having a conversation about a game. They did keep a count of how many genitalia jokes they made rabid, did you mean they shouldn't have?

Each to their own I guess I suppose some people prefer certain review styles to others ^^ Personally I would take this over the now done to death "i'm so angry this game sucks grrr grr grr" style any day.

No. They kept track of "pervy jokes" in general. I meant they just made so many genitalia jokes it may as well have its own category.

Indeed, this "review" does have a very juvenile flavor, which does not appeal to everyone.

I am amazed that this even appeals to anyone. Change it to 'shit n giggles,' because this is just not a review. -_-

I told them to grow up and bam, -6 thumbs.

I realize that, but it still gets on my nerves. I'd like some entertaining reviews, sure, and I could understand what they were going for, though that was anything but entertaining for me.
