This is a review of Xbox Live Arcade's recent Fable II Pub Games. It discusses the obvious pitfalls of rushing a game to market that should have been more deeply playtested and double checked.

There even exists exploits that allow players to gain more gold through a basic simple gaming flaw, allowing the player to gain more "gold" than they normally would.

Sometimes you really have to wonder what is going through developer's minds while they are creating some games. One also must wonder at the state a mind would have to be in to decide that sitting there pressing "A" 100 times is going to be a good time for all. It is of course quite possible that they were suffering from severe sleep deprivation after working 72+ hours straight on the actual Fable 2 game or something like that. Regardless what is really a fantastic marketing concept falls very short of being an entertaining game.

I think playing this to get gold for when you start Fable 2 defeats the point of the game. You're meant to start as poor scum and work your way up. Not start super rich

I feel the same Tank. Though there are implications of becoming too rich when you start a game, I think it changes your appearance.

There's already a basic exploit that will allow you to get heaps of gold, as much as you want really, which basically makes a mockery of the main game really. You should only have access to your gold once you reach a certain level.

Much like having savings in a bank. When you've reached a certain level of experience and status in the game (main game) then the rewards from the Arcade games are made available to you.

    Well, that's how I would do it . . .

That would be good, but Im betting that the money will all be available as soon as you get through the childhood section of the game.
