IGN: The Last Guy Review. Put on your cape and save humanity

Linkin Park Fan | August 27, 2008 | Reviews | Playstation 3
IGN has reviewd the upcoming PSN game, The Last Guy. This little quirky and unique game puts in a google earth-like setting and you have to save humanity from zombies and monsters. The game will be released tomorrow in the PSN update.

Final Score=9/10
I was destined to love The Last Guy. Beyond the fact that the game is a blast, beyond the fact that the gameplay is simple but complex, and beyond the fact that the music is that wacky kind of catchy -- the main character wears a red cape and blue suit.

What's not to love?

The word "quirky" gives you and idea of what to expect with The Last Guy, but it doesn't adequately prepare you for the craziness found in this PlayStation Network download. Basically, a purple ray has hit Earth and turned a healthy number of the inhabitants into zombies. These monsters now roam the world's streets and gobble up any human foolish enough to leave his or her hideout.

Closing Comments
In the end, The Last Guy is an outstanding title that's challenging, funny, and fresh. Yes, it's a download and it's rather simple looking, but once you get your hands on the controls and get to the point where you've tanked for the fifth time in a row and are plotting a path on the map overview before your next deployment, you'll know why this game rocks. Plain and simple, The Last Guy deserves to have a place on your hard drive.
