XboxOZ360 Reviews Castle Crashers for XBLA

XboxOZ360 | August 29, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360
A new release for Xbox Live Arcade is Castle Crashes from The Behemoth Studios. Released this week and extremely popular, we had to fight for the few codes available for review from Microsoft, this game is definitely old school side-scrolling gaming fun for any member of the family, no matter what their age.

Check the review out and see what you think, as well as the very cartoony screens which are a trademark of the game.
The King’s 4 hot daughters have been kidnapped and who else better to rescue them than the King’s most trusted Knights. That’s all there is to know with The Behemoth’s Castle Crashers, and you couldn’t ask for a more straight forward plot.

The Behemoth have added their own unique twist to this side-scrolling game which definitely makes it a worthy purchase for any gamer looking to use their points on Xbox Live or buy more to get this. The Red knight, Green knight, Blue knight or Orange knight are yours to choose from before starting the campaign and from there it’s game on.

Hacking & Slashing through hordes of different enemies gives you experience points which then allows you to level up, and then in comes the RPG element of the game. There are 4 different areas that you can upgrade, Strength, Magic, Defense/Health and Speed/Accuracy. All these of course help you as you progress further into the game.

Arcade games just are not my style any more, must be my age catching up with me I think. There are a few that I do enjoy, but nowhere as many as some people do. They have just about every XBLA title available . . .

I'll just stick with my few titles I love and enjoy . . .

    Who enjoys this one . . ?

This game is very enjoyable offline and online but the problem of constantly kicking players out during co-op over Live is very frustrating and deprives the experience there is to be had with the game hopefully they release a patch soon to fix it up as it doesn't get very annoying after awhile of it continuing to happen

See, I just don't get many of the arcade games unfortunately . . Much prefer the major games these days, I suppose having spent many years in arcades when young has worn them rather thing with me, so that I need the newer style and visuals of modern games . .??
