Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood UGO.com Review

Daigoji_Gai | October 03, 2008 | Reviews | DS
Mike Williams offers his take on the Bioware developed Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Was Bioware able to do what they've done in classics like Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Mass Effect, Jade Empire and have planned for Dragon Age with Sonic?
Raise your hand if you remember Fake Voltron. You know, the one made out of cars instead of righteous lion statue robots? It was not as bad as the Transformer’s ugly cousins, the GoBots but whenever you came across it you always felt a little let down. This is kind of the way I feel about the Sonic gang. It always felt to me like Sega’s answer to Mario and company. And where I love Toad, Luigi, and Bowser I am disenchanted by Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman. However, this does not mean I can’t get some rpg goodness out of The Dark Brotherhood.

Well it did pretty well in the rating section and the overall score wasn't too bad. I hope Sonic can use his next couple of games to really boost his popularity and low self image.
