XboxOz360 gives Far Cry 2 a 9.8/10!

With Ubisoft claiming that Far Cry 2 would be the benchmark for other FSPs, not everyone believed them. Looks like they were wrong. In this review, XboxOz360 explains how good Far Cry 2 is and how it'll be hard for other games to top it.

In Farcry 2 you play as a mercenary hired to kill an arms dealer, the Jackal, who has been dealing arms to both sides of a conflict in Africa. You arrive in the country and get malaria. So your character has to balance his illness with his search for the Jackal.
At the beginning you choose your character from a group of biographies and portraits, all the other characters go and populate the world as your buddies.

    Probably the best FPS I've played in some time . . . The Map Editor is brilliant (check out the vid on the site) and you can make just about anything, seriously.

    This one will be sitting in the disc tray for some time, and Gears 2 "might" get a look in once or twice, but this one will be THE one in this house.

    Um still too skeptical about this game. Seen to many mixed reviews. So im probably going to wait to experience it at someone's house.

    Just wondering, can you actually play the game as a female? It says you choose from various bios and portraits....

    Also, I hope the PS3 version is similarly good. I won't be getting the 360 version (when I DO finally get this game, that is), on account of the fact I don't have GOLD. Free online FTW.

      I thought the same thing when I saw he didn't submit it.
      I've bean seeing this happen more often around here, that some of these stories are posted before the writer gets around to it.

      Yes you can mate, there's 6 characters to choose from, then the remaining become your buddies for life throughout the game.

      If one dies then that's it, they are gone for good for that game. If you have to kill a buddy due to severe injuries and you can't get back to them, then they are gone to - period.

      Which makes for some very interesting choices actually.
