Space Siege is the follow up to the classic Dungeon Siege title released on the PC many a year ago now. Unfortunatly, the GV reviewer did not take a shine to the sequel...

My review copy for this game was late, by over a week. Gaming Verdict’s own editor had to contact me and ask me what was wrong. There is a reason for that: during that time, following an initial couple of sessions with the game, I couldn’t bring myself to review it. Poor form for a reviewer, certainly. But deep down, I wondered: if I pretended hard enough that it didn’t exist – might it go away

This game, so disappointed with this purchase. Not sure what Gas Powered Games was thinking releasing this.

The only purchase this year I 250% regret making....

Man, daigoji gai I feel for you. It took me about 4 minutes of playing the demo to realize that this game was absolutely terrible.

I would not recommend this game to anyone.

A similar game that was done way better and is actually pretty fun is the superior Shadowgrounds Survivor.

The thing that really bothers me about this game is they had the balls to label it ARPG... the RPG elements are about as weak as you can get.

/agree Kspiess. I wish I played the demo first. I downloaded it, but never installed it, then I walk into the local EB and saw it was in and decided that since I loved the Dungeon Siege games (and Supreme Commander) so much I figured Dungeon Siege in space- I'm sold.

Then there were the early previews that had me excited about the "destructive environments". Destructive my arse... woo a canister flew into crates... *rubs forehead* Maybe they should have played some Marvel Ultimate Alliance, or Bad Company to see what destructive environments means... Then the pseudo and superficial go human vs. robot choice - whatever, after seeing both endings in the same weekend it just reinforced how hollow and empty (and repetitive) an experience this game was.

Kspiess, you know. I was originally going to write the review for this but handed it off to someone else. I was so sick to my stomach I didn't want to think about it again... but I was going to mention Shadowgrounds as a $$ cheaper and far better alternative than Space Siege and easily obtainable from Steam.... and at least Shadowgrounds got the controls right for this type of game.

What was Gas Powered Games thinking... I would be ashamed to have my name on that box.

I was so disgusted with this game...
