I am strongly pushing for my peers in the industry to give this title GOTY... truly deserves it!

    So glorious!

I rather see LBP or MGS4 to get game of the year award tbh.

Final, I wrote those on my Facebook profile to some other gaming journalist. While I agree Snake's final mission was epic, and as an irrational MGS fanboy and Kojima worshipper, I to this day defend MGS2 as the Empire Strikes Back of the Solid Snake saga, Fallout 3's freedom and variety of options to tackle any given task trumps MGS4's perfected MG gameplay...

I may lose my Fanboy MGS membership badge for saying that, but, yeah, Fallout 3 trumps MGS - though nothing, NOTHING will compare to the Rex vs. Ray fight or the brutal final fistfight between Ocelot and Snake. IMHO, the latter may be the greatest boss battle of all time. LOL (trying to keep my membership by conceding that)

Im not denying that Fallout 3 seems to be a great game, but I played MGS4, and know all the stuff they put into it. Its beyond epic. I mean Christ to have a game that was supposed to be over 60GB worth of content is enough to assume MGS4 should be placed on GOTY, if not LBP. Sorry while this was a difference in opinion and I meant no disrespect from my initial comment, I just can't see Fallout 3 taking home that award when MGS4 was truly a marvel.

    Fallout 3 sucks!

    Just kidding.

Reviewers seem to think it's not all that bad at all.

Multiplat games seem to be doing well lately. I remember a time when usually only exclusives were good.

I'd buy this, but I'm already getting LBP and R2.

It is funny. It is getting to the point now where I want games to fail badly so I dont feel temptation to buy them with all the other games I want!

But in all seriousness, multiplatform games ARE doing well lately. All games are in fact. Its been a kickass year for gaming.

Once again. The PS3 version seems to be dumbed down. Still good scores so far.

Lolwut? Those scores are amazing, how could it be dumbed down?

I was referring to the 360 and PC getting a higher score than the PS3 version. Must be some minor graphical difference. Still a great score.

It was because it has more glitches. It only lost the PS3 version a few points, so it probably isn't too bad, but we don't really know yet. As far as graphics, gameplay and features go, it's identical the other versions.

Isn't it due to some graphical issues, ie it's not been touched up as well as 360 and PC. Also, the fact the PS3 lacks DLC may bring it down a touch as well.

    @ Final Blade:
Just because a game requires a lot of space doesn't mean it's any good.

I didn't base it all on that you know. Have you played MGS4? Cause if you did and didn't like it it was probably due to you not being a fan of the series. I'll admit when I first played MGS4, I never played the previous ones and MGS4 was beyond epic and past my expectations(there can be exceptions to that rule. Some who has never played the others and played MGS4 even stated how epic it was). I then got the others and played them as well.

But anyone who has played it and was a fan of the series will tell you that game was epic and deserves GOTY. And if not that LBP should.

Hey final, there was no need for the apology in your response to my fanboy rant, didn't see you as trying to disrespect. LOL!

I agree with you with the amount of content in MGS4, but if you are basing it on volume of content then Fallout 3 also trumps MGS4 in that regard.

IMHO, I think most publications will give it to LBP, but I really strongly believe Fallout 3 is a triumph, combat is original, and just the sheer volume of content in the game from quests, subquests, easter eggs, multiple outcomes for nearly every quest, etc, is just - overwhelming. I got through my first playthrough of MGS4 over a weekend, I've been playing the PC version of Fallout for the past 4 days, and haven't even touched 5% of the game's content yet. Just so overwhelming and so much to do.

Even fans of a series don't always like the sequels. I haven't played MGS4 but that doesn't matter when it comes to my comment.

I don't ever recall any MGS fans ever not wanting the sequels of the MGS series. Maybe not a 5 one after the marvel and how MGS4 just put everything together in a nice finish.

@Daigoji_Gai as I said its just a difference of opinion really, but personally after playing MGS4, I don't ever think any game can triumph it in terms of sheer quality, especially an exclusive. LBP might be up there with MGS4 as exclusives to nab the GOTY, but as normal we're not going to agree so, lets just conclude on this note.
