Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

So I've had the PS3 version of Fallout 3 for some time but couldn't say anything because of the press embargo. I honestly stopped playing once Fable 2 came out because I fond myself longing a keyboard and mouse and larger/sharper textures + cooler particle effects. Sure enough, last night I was up until 4AM playing this game on my PC and running on a dual 512 8800 Sli setup, the game was silky smooth, no hiccups and gorgeous. Plus, being able to use the mouse to actually navigate the terminals scattered around the map and interact with the Pipboy more dynamically was a huge plus.
Fallout 3 is huge. After one of the most unique tutorials and character creations in recent memory (if you havent heard anything, youll definitely be blown away), youll exit out of your vault, the place you have lived all of your life, into The Wasteland. And where you go is up to you. And thats pretty much the experience of Fallout 3. Sure, you can focus in on the main story quest of locating your father, gone missing from your home vault, but invariably youll get distracted. And thats fine. The game is designed to be distracting. Its designed to encourage you to see whats just over the next hill, around the next bend, underneath the next manhole cover.
