IGN scores Quantum of Solace a passable 6.9. As many of you are aware, the game has been developed by Treyarch, that very same developer is working on Call of Duty 5. Let's hope that game doesn't wind up the same way as Quantum of Solace.

Yet another game of the movie disappoints.

[Intro]

Well, in all fairness, Quantum of Solace does at least nail the essentials. The genetics of the Call of Duty 4 engine it's built around are instantly apparent, and given that game's calibre that's no bad thing. Never straying too far from the series' blueprint of eking slowly forward amidst an onslaught of enemy fire, Treyarch has understandably watered down the formula, and the result is a shooter that's clearly playing to a more casual crowd, and at times it feels as if Quantum of Solace has more in common with Virtua Cop than it does Call of Duty.

[Closing Comments]

A true blockbuster of a game, Quantum of Solace is loud, dumb but sadly all-too-forgettable. The Bond licence goes a good way to hiding the game’s lack of ideas and for the four hours the single-player campaign lasts there’s no denying it’s a solid blast, but ultimately there’s better ways to spend your money this autumn.

Well, Bond games have had a generally better success rate than other movie tie-ins, though it doesn't account for some of the shockers like Rogue Agent.

Am I the only one who enjoyed Rogue Agent? LoL shows my warped sense of gaming style.
