Perhaps I am biased towards PC gaming (though I love my consoles), all attempts at bringing RTS gameplay to the console (IMHO) has failed. EndWar tries to one-up the trend by giving players the ability to control units giving voice commands... does it work? My boy Adam Rosenberg offers his opinion. I think I'll wait to see if they ever do a PC version...

Tom Clancy’s EndWar is the latest in Ubisoft’s increasingly diverse catalog of games set in the fictional modern-day world conceived by spy-thriller author Clancy. The focus in this outing is on real-time strategy, a slimmed-down and streamlined take on the genre made specifically with game console players in mind. The formula is moderately successful thanks to superb voice controls and a kept-in-check sense of scale. Unfortunately, a variety of technical issues ultimately impede what could have otherwise been one of the first truly well-executed console-based RTS games.
