Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Electronic Theatre delivers an in-depth analysis of SEGA's PLAYSTATION3 exclusive Strategy-Action release, Valkryia Chronicles, now available in Europe...
Before SEGAs 2009 train starts running, however, we have two remaining big-budget SEGA titles to run-out 2008; Valkyria Chronicles and Sonic Unleashed. Sonic Unleashed, as has now become the nature of SEGAs mascot, is a multi-format title, whereas Valkyria Chronicles is that most elusive of beasts: a third-party PLAYSTATION3 exclusive.
The game depicts a fantasy continent, known as Europa, with two warring factions The Empire and The Federation - and your nation of Gallia stuck in the middle. However, conversely to recent game tradition with titles such as FallOut 3, Fracture and Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty, this vision is more comparable to Europe than the US. A breath of fresh air, to say the least...

Edit: I did play the demo though.
Even before I got the game, having read that review, it really wouldn't have helped me at all, because all that you did was spend your time telling us how the battle system works, which if anyone was interested in this game as I was, I'd have known. It'd have been fine if you talked about the other things as well as what you did, but for a review, it was awefully short and felt more like a preview.
And a 6 for Originality? Show me one game that is like this. This indeed is an original game, and most agree that though Advance Wars and Fire Emblem could be mentioned, the game is a very different thing.
All in all, I'm not pleased with this review, had I have waited for a review such as that, it would do nothing to help me decide whether or not to get the game.
This isn't just a Tactical Strategy game, but an RPG as well, and the most important part of any RPG (arguably) is the Storyline which you hardly touched upon except for it's setting.
