The Blue Blur is back, but is Sonic's latest outing worth all the fuss? Just what's the deal with all this werehog nonsense, anyway? You've got the questions, and GameLemon has the humorous attempt at some answers.

As a side effect of Sonic's proximity to the beam when it was fired, he was imbued with a bit of Dark Gaia's power, and now whenever night falls he transforms into Sonic the Werehog. If you're currently rolling your eyes or sighing heavily then you are doing it right; if you're thinking "Gee, that sounds like a nifty idea!" then you're probably that special kind of boy or girl that likes to drool while they talk, and should seek immediate medical attention.

I really enjoy this game. I mean sure the werehog thing is interesting. But it does tie into the story very well. I'm not 100% finished yet but enjoying it.

While I do like both sides of Sonic, kinda reminds me of Crash Bandicot or something, I think if Sega just left out the werehog bit, sonic would be back in it's glory. I think that little addition really is, from what I gather from other fans, the only downside of the game. While I don't share those thoughts, I can see why. Everyone enjoyed the 2D+3D mix high speed sonic. I myself love it too. Although, got to admit, there's alot of puzzle involvement in the game. Which I do like. Imo, from what I've played so far, I think this game could easily be 8.5/10. Which is a pretty good score. Hell, it has trophies too. Might as well add 51 more trophies to my collection.

I also agree with you about it's a big leap forward and its definitely on it's way to returning the fun. I think it's been one of the best Sonic games, in awhile for sure. But you rated the Wii version. I'm playing PS3 version. So idk if there's a big difference other then different controls.

Obviously it's getting a lot of attention because the series has done so much in the past to warrant this.

Sonic Unleashed, the fighting is as bad as Mortal Kombat, the side-scrolling sections are as dull as the first level of Sonic Advance 2 and the 3D parts are ruined by the lack of them and the final levels' way of always have a diagonal floor at some point that clearly Sega put no time into programming something that wouldn't be impossible to work...

Didn't enjoy the demo at all, and haven't liked a Sonic game since the Sega days.

The werehog stages were tolerable for me but going back and redoing them just felt a bit tedious. One of the things i think that would have made it better would be sort of an online ranking system so you can compare your times and download ghosts for the day stages.

I was slightly dissapointed about this game only because of how fast Sonic moves.

One thing I think we can all agree on as far as Sonic goes, whether you like the new games or you can't stand them, and that is this: HIS *bleep*ING NAME IS DR. ROBOTNIK!!!

I love this game, only downside is hunting through each level all over again looking for those stupid medals!

"You need 22 Sun Medals to play this level". WTF!? I am in Adabat/Hawaii, past empire city, and ready to do Sonic's Hawaian run, but seriously, if I have to do the China and Alaska Werehog levels one more time to get them all, I'll DIE!
