After playing the game for a week or so now I finally came to a verdict. This review details the pro and cons of the webslingers latest outing, but prepare for a very poor scoring, the lowest score to be drawn up on Teabag Gaming to date...

With great power comes great responsibility, a wise man once said in the very pages that this game originated from. Since the video game that came in hand with the Spiderman 2 movie, the series has taken a swing for the best, adopting one of the greatest free roaming experiences available within video games. Spiderman 2 was to be the keystone in the success of the all of the mask webslinger’s outings until people started to question whether the awe and freedom from the series would fair well on next generation consoles...

Wow, talk about critical. I understand that the story is lame, but the gameplay makes this game worth a rent. The choices you can make gives it some replayability, and the bad path is hilarious, haha. I'd give WoS a 7.5/10. The voice-acting was terrible (good god at Peter's voice), but gameplay shines, imo. In terms of the fighting, it's what we've been waiting for in a Spidey game.

If you want to break a low-score record, play Spidey: Friend or Foe, or that rebooted Sonic game that came out two+ years ago.

What you keep getting glitched on? Hmm . . . hasn't happened to me too often. Hopefully it stops for you!

Hm, kinda late with a game review, huh? But anywho . . . I loved the game. The gameplay was awesome, but I loved the story. Those who think it's lame, well . . . an oppinion is fine to have so long as it's not stated as fact without logical proof.

To each there own. Personally I think it is the best Spider-man since the PS1 days. A little short but still worth checking out.

Same here, The only thing I didn't like at all was the voice for Peter! Haha, I think the best voice would have been the one for that 90's cartoon!

(Seems you get the glitch too. Let's hope this thing doesn't spread!!)

Hmm, weird glitch, I know for a fact when I left this article last night I only had one post. I double checked specifically because it was mentioned here.

Yea, the voice is a bit odd at first. But I got used to it pretty fast and after a while I didn't even notice. Spidy has had so many voices in my life time that it has to be something really grating for it to bother me.

I loved the first Spidey PS1 game, but thought the Spiderman 2 movie tie in for the PS2 was the greatest, as I said, it was the stepping stone in the success of Spidey games to come.

It introduced one new element. Sandbox style play. Which works really great with a Spidy game. The problem is most Spidy games don't use it well. The side missions feel boring and pointless distractions most of the time. Which is why you rarely see Spidy stopping a mugging in any other form of media. Hardly exciting story telling.

And i don't think Spider-man 2 movie tie in was the greatest Spidy game. It was average and only really interesting because of that one element. Now if developers can learn to tell a great story while incorporating the sandbox play with INTERESTING side missions we will really have something. But WoS brought out the best combat system for Spidy to date. And a pretty decent story to boot. They continue in that vein with the typical improvements that a series should get and they will have something really great.

I'd put the PS1 Spidey game over the movie one, to be honest. My favorite Spider-Man game is a toss-up between that and Maximum Carnage, but WoS does kick things up a notch, especially with gameplay.

The story was a little on the lame side for me, though. I mean, barely any explanation as to how the city hit chaos so fast, and Venom's strange symbiote spawning ability was quite out there but eh, it stayed centralized to the plot. The decisions we get to make were great.
