So here we are. Halo Wars marks the series first real expansion outside of first person shooter, whilst films and other projects have been penned for this generation’s biggest franchise, Halo Wars is the first move into new territories and it is a move we might have anticipated but also been sceptic about at a first glance. Thankfully the franchise has been left in the good hands of Ensemble Studios who have more than proved themselves with the Age of Empire series but can Halo successfully make the transition from groundbreaking first person shooter to successful real-time strategy game?
