Gamepro have recently reviewed the upcoming 360 and PS3 game Resident Evil 5 and they were impressed, giving it an overall score of 4.5/5.
A few interesting things in the review to note are:
"There's even a level towards the end of the game that is strikingly similar to a rather important stage in Metal Gear Solid 4".
"Resident Evil's villainous metrosexual (lol) returns and it appears as though the toxic amount of gel he smears onto his scalp has finally affected his brain because Wesker's more psychotic than ever in RE5".
"The identity of the beaked, cloak-wearing character is an enormous spoiler. No seriously- we're not going to tell you who it is".
"The most shocking change to your infected enemies occurs in the second half of the game, and its comething that has a big impact on gameplay".
"The sun-scorched African villages -and the alligator infested swamps- are by far the most exciting and interesting moments in the game. Some of the later missions, however, come off as a bit generic and aren't as fun to paly as earlier ones."
GamePro US reviewed Resident Evil 5. They give some minor info on the second half of the game. It also seems the SIG P226 is the game's equivalent of the Red9, with the H&K P8 the equivalent of Resident Evil 4's Blacktail. They gave it 4.5/5.
