Electronic Theatre offers an in-depth analysis of D3Publisher and Vicious Cycle's Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, available now on PLAYSTATION3 and Xbox360.

The game plays akin to the modern standardised Third-Person Shooter template, seemingly set-in-stone by Gears of War. Progressing through tightly structured linear levels designed to make use of the ingrained Cover System, players fight an increasingly bizarre cast of videogame machinations as the boisterous Matt Hazard. The twist in the tale is that Matt Hazard himself is aware that he is in a videogame, and as a washed-out videogame hero given the chance of a comeback is ardently involved in his new role; until things start falling apart – almost literally.

Didn't get the feeling of wanting to go out and buy the game right away, I will definately be keeping my eye on this title for a price drop. Not bad since it's already cheaper.
