Electronic Theatre offers an analysis of the second-of-three downloadable content packs for Fallout 3, entitled Fallout 3: The Pitt, available now on Xbox360 and PC.

A few minor objectives and you’re taken on a journey to a completely disconnected – and entirely new – area, much like that in Operation Anchorage or Fable II’s Knothole Island. Lead by a man named Ashur who is unnervingly referred to as a God a few too many times, a huge team of Raiders keep slaves working in The Pitt – a job under which you will undoubtedly become tainted by radiation. Having a variety of effects – each one nastier than the last – those enslaved in The Pitt have discovered that their keepers have found a cure for the effects of radiation poisoning, and won’t be sharing. Needless to say, your recruitment involves doing all the legwork involved in obtaining this cure for the slaves, and securing their freedom.

I must say I lovedThe Pitt, but it has set some high expectations for me for the next DLC Broken Steel. I mean, the story and variety of things you get to do (collecting ingots, fighting trogs, and of course the whole political struggle and which side you choose) is great... Broken Steel must deliver that epic conclusion and tie off some nagging loose strings with some of the NPC companions and events in the game.

    CAN'T WAIT!
