The history and future of the Playstation Home service and an analysis if the introduction of new features and spaces will be enough to attract new gamers and bring back those who wrote off the service.

"When Playstation Home was announced back at the 2007 GDC, it captured the attention of everyone at the show. While details were few, the promise of Home drove many people to pick up a PS3 in anticipation of the open beta. A couple years after their first look at Home, the door swung open and people finally got to see what they were waiting so long to experience. Many of the Playstation fans felt betrayed and disappointed when they found Home to be a cramped, glitchy, and mostly non-interactive virtual chat room."

Sure, despite all the whining from people here, and other places it's still attracting people. Don't believe me? Just log into Home, i'm sure you'll find plenty of people on there.

It looks like you've confused whining with genuine, fair criticism.

      Home's gash.

It attracts me, i've been delving into XI which is awesome. It's like bitesized daily challenges that combine to become massive, i am intrigued by XI atleast. Home itself can be boring but it's not a game and it's not meant to take me away from playing games it's meant to be there for the inbetween moments.

True, Home can be boring, but so can be real-life.
It's more fun if you're in good company and like-minded (virtual) friends ... at least for me

Of course it is. It attracts me and many others. And as long as there is community in HOME, there will be attraction. I like to use a phrase a friend of mine has been saying since closed beta "Enjoy HOME for what it is, not what it's not."

In other words, realize what HOME is all about: community. The moment you start thinking of it as a game or sims or something like that, you'll find it lacking and just complain about it.

No doubt home will pick up additional users as well as bringing back existing ones with the addition of new spaces.

I went in once, I then left and told some friends to let me know when it's good.

I'll go back when I get the word.
