OXCGN reviewer Aaron Bertinetti gets all choppy and messy with this latest XBLA release based on Microsoft's XNA game building application system available for developers.

It may look plan and simple, but it is harsh and quick, as well as bloody . . .

Since the excellent Ninja Gaiden 2, gaming has been bereft of hardcore slice and dice titles. And yet in the absence of the master, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai’s release is something that would surely make even Tomonobu Itagaki grin ear to bloody ear.

Personally, I suspect that somehow Dishwasher is Itagaki’s long lost love child. The great developer, who arguably one year on can still lay claim to the best action gameplay engine, must have been doing something post-Tecmo besides maintaining his effortless sex, drugs and rock n’ roll chic.

Not sure if this is my type of game really, but I suppose there's a huge number of gamers out there that would love this, especially from the man of blood-baths himself . ..

The demo is pretty fun, but I'm not sure if it's worth $10. I'm sure there's some depth, and the arcade mode sounds cool, but I may wait and see if it drops or becomes an XBL deal of the week or something like that. Maybe reading more reviews would help, too

I'd like to play this game. I been following the game's creator, James Silva (? think that's it) for a long time. If you have a PC and think this game looks good I recommend googling "Zombie Smashers X2"
