Jame's Walker goes back once again to find some games that might be worth you're while in checking out (previous ones include Grind Session, Super Back to the Future Part II, and recently Crue Ball. Go to source to have a little history on the game and how this Will Wright (Sim City/Spore) classic holds up.

Raid on Bungeling Bay was Wright’s first game, released for the Commodore 64 in 1984, and was about as far from anything you would expect from Will Wright as humanly possible.

The game was ported to both the MSX and NES in 1985, with Hudson Soft handling the NES port.

The game itself is very simple: You control a helicopter. At the beginning of your mission you lift off from an aircraft carrier with the singular mission of wreaking havoc on anything that isn’t you, with the ultimate goal being to destroy six enemy factories. Obviously it’s not as easy as simply flying to the factory and dropping a few bunker-busters on it. As you search for the factory you’ll have to dispatch enemy patrol boats, RADAR satellites and tanks.

Raid on Bungeling Bay is very simple to get, yet it's one of the best games I've ever played on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It brings a lot of memories from my early childhood!
