Another PSP review from Resume Play, this time focusing on SEGA's newest Phantasy Star title due to launch in the UK in the next few weeks. Phantasy star is a real time roleplaying game, and I would recommend it to those who own a PSP system.

As I keep reiterating, the PSP has a solid line-up this year, and could just lift itself from the edge of its deep grave. With high hopes for this year’s titles, SEGA have managed to push a game into the market that was a little unexpected due to its past success; the Phantasy Star series. To be honest with you readers, I had a bad run-in with the series when I decided to grab myself a copy of Phantasy Star Universe for the Playstation 2. It turned out to be a rather sour singleplayer experience, lacking any kind of plot depth to keep even the most hardcore fans interested. Then there was the issue of online play. At the time, I had only just unpacked my Ethernet cables and plugged my PS2 up to play Timesplitters and Star Battlefront 2, but when I imagined an online RPG running from my very own black box, I couldn’t wait. However, I had been foolish in not noticing the monthly pricetag that would attach itself to the online service, instantly putting me off.
