Electronic Theatre provides an analysis of dtp Entertainment and Radon Labs' PC exclusive third-person RPG, Drakensang: The Dark Eye, available now in Europe.
The story is well written and cuts a clear path in localisation, much more so than most European PC titles with a similar budget. Entirely reliant on Fantasy cliché, Drakensang: The Dark Eye is stronger because of the preconceptions players have of the immediately recognisable characterisation. Though objectives are rarely open to player interpretation, the delivery is a constant source of encouragement through the game’s eighty-or-so-hour main quest.
