A late review, but a good review nonetheless, Resumeplay covers the pros and cons of the new Puzzle Quest instalment, but is this grand new space adventure enough to dethrone Warlords?

Battles aren’t conducted between combatants in Galactrix as it was in Warlords; instead, your spaceships will do the battle. During battle, a honeycomb grid will appear in the touch screen, with the two spacecrafts’ status on the top. You will notice that there is a blue bar and orange bar; the blue bar representing your ship’s shield power, and the orange representing your life points; once it drops to 0, it’s game over. Battle is simply conducted by linking 3 or more of the hexagonal plates on the grid. Each colour of plate has its own affect: Blue plates will recharge your shield, Yellow, Green, and Red plates will rack up your ability points, each being aligned under the respective colours. Purple and White plates are allocated to Psi, and Intel (EXP) points. Finally, you have the Mine plates, coloured black and red. Linking Mine plates will deal damage to the opponent’s hit points. Once three or more of these plates are connected (of the same colour) they will disappear and the player who linked them will gain the effects of them, and deal damage for linking Mine plates.
