Top Ten Addictive Games

As I looked over the list of games posted on this list, and looked over the one's I have played, I noticed something. The list is pretty accurate. Not to spoil the list for anyone yet, but in my opinion, move Grand Theft Auto San Andreas up a few spots closer to number one, and maybe add Sega's patented "Gain Ground" game to the list, and this would be a good way to use five or ten minutes, just reading and trying to remember the good old days. The thing that freaked me out, was there was no Xbox or 360 games on the list. They were mostly listed under PC or PS2.

    It's interesting how all the games were either PC or PS2 except for two games that were PS3 and PSP. I wonder why they didn't include any XBOX games at all. Hmm. I do agree that Grand Theft Auto San Andreas should be like number 4 or 5 though. But overall I guess the list is pretty accurate.

    Hmmm only games i played on that list were diablo 2 and WoW. Counter-strike should've been on that list.

    Aw, where is Tetris? Definitely agree with The Sims 2 being on there, so very addictive for nearly every type of gamer. WoW sure does deserve the #1 spot too, I'm too worried to get into it in case my soul gets consumed, haha.

    Addictive those games are, yes. Fun? No. About 8 out of those 10 games are boring as hell. Where in blue heck is Tetris and KOTOR? That baffles me.

    Well seeing how as it's addicting games and not nesicarily fun, I guess some I can agree. Some need to be on there like Charuzu said, Counter-Strike.

    I mostly agree with the list, though I was bored with Lumines within the first ten minutes. The subject is too...well...subjective to really be handled in a list sort of way, in my opinion.

    Good list, although I've never found myself interested in World of Warcraft at all. GTA, Virtua Tennis, and The Sims are all great games I've played though.

    GTA wasn't really addicting to me, though it is one of the only games I actually own on that list. I start to lose interest in it after a while. =/

    I have played almost all of these and I only find Diablo 2 and WoW to be addicting. Well maybe Sims as well when I was little.

      I also thought that. They have World of Warcraft, but no Counter Strike.

    Yes I agree with people who say super smash bros, tetris and counter strike should be on that list. Although I have never played counter strike cause I'm not good at shooters I've seen my cousin get hooked on it. I am currently hooked on super smash bros and remember trying to beat a friends score at tetris once and then I was hooked. But of course WoW deserves the number 1 spot there there are some people who play that so much it's scary

    GTA SA really isn't that addicting. It was addicting when you never beat the game but when you did it was boring.

    WoW was kind of obvious.

    But SSBM should of been on there. How can you not say almost 6 years being out and people still play it like the bought it the other day? Should of been at least 4th I think.

    I agree, I was looking for SSBM to make it somewhere on the top 5, but it didn't. Most of these were Playstation and PC based games, so it may have been made by a group of patented Nintendo haters.

      It's always possible. But I just don't see how that Tennis game even made it on there. It was never addicting.

    I agree a Smash Brothers should be on and so should Tetris.

    Pokemon Gold should be on their.

    "But I need to hurry and evole Eevee before it gets light."
    "But I need to get to the park to the bug catching contest."
    "But the boat sales to Kanto/Jhoto today"

    Those real time events made not playing chance wasting.

    Not to mention the desire to "catch 'em all".

    My brother and I still go through phases when we have that game where we are constintly playing. We tend to leave it in Spain though as to avoid its power over us. Unfortunately\fortunately we currently have it at home.

    Never underestimate the power virtual tennis has over you. Just look how huge the ball was in that screen shot gotenks.

    As I said earlier, I would have to say the author is biased toward Sony, rather than Nintendo. But in my opinion, it was a very well thought out list, maybe a few other additions could be made, but for a short amount of time taken to think something such as this out, he did a good job.

    I've played Virtua tennis, it's not bad, but it's certainly not that addictive. I think any good MMORPG is addictive for some reason. I remember that I was addicted to City Of Heroes until the lag just annoyed the crap out of me.

    I agree that counter-strike and Tetris should be on the list as well.

      I agree fully. Almost any MMORPG game I've played has been addictive for sometime. Anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 months.
      8 months being GTA San Andreas.

    There is no doubt, World of Warcraft is definitely the most addictive game there is.

    Even so, I would expect Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to be around the top 5.

    Most of those are MMORPGs. I'm not a fan of MMORPGs, I have much better things to do with my time.

    There should be a most addictive console/handheld game list.

    That last comment of yours would be a good idea. But I would make it a list of five or so. A list of ten consoles...Well, after I think it over, it does sound pretty good.

    I disagree, games that are not fun, are sometimes addicting. Hell, I play Bomberman because it's addicting. The games PS1 graphics suck very badly, and the gameplay is much worse. The only thing keeping me playing is the intent to blow people up with bombs.
