The latest game review from The Big Man and Garrett deals with the somewhat flawed but ultimately enjoyable and rental worthy sequel to 2007's Overlord.

All in all the game is still fun despite its flaws, and if you liked Pikmin, or the first Overlord game, then Overlord II is worth at least a rental. Depending on how persistent you are, and how skilled you are with the controls the game is in the 10 hour range.

A definite ditto here as well. Overlord 1 was awesome, and 2 sure followed.

I've only played the demo of the first one and just bought this one because I knew it was a comedic game and I liked the fact that it had split screen co-op.I was hesitant at buying the game and I'm very glad I decided to buy it.

I didn't really have a problem at all with the controls.Sure the lock on would often lock on to things you didn't care about but other than that, the controls were perfectly fine imo.

I have Overlord 1, but my disk went Kaput ~_~

    So I never finished it.

Overlord II had a nice demo, but I have to admit, there are parts about it that I didn't like as much as in Overlord 1 (controlling the minions for one).

I was annoyed by the nasty lip-syncing on the dialogue, and minion control, as mentioned, didn't feel as smooth as before. But it was just as witty and comical, if not moreso, as the last.

Plus, I wasn't a fan of the seal clubbing

Glad I'm not the only one.I didn't care at all about killing the gnomes, people or anything else, but the baby seals wasn't my cup of tea.

Thirded -- it just made me feel awkward. If there was some real reason for it (like for food or something) I wouldn't have minded, but it seemed to be there just for the sake of controversy.

One of the coolest things in this game is getting your minions drunk and having them hiccup, throw up and piss all over the place lol.
