Electronic Theatre offers an in-depth review of Ubisofts' recreation of Konami's widely respected early '90s release, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Turtles in Time, known on Xbox LIVE Arcade as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.

The Xbox LIVE Arcade release is not quite a faithful recreation of the original, instead deciding to update the formula, for better or worse. Some of the major changes come in the form of radical gameplay modernisations such as 360º combat (as opposed to simply offering left or right attacks as with original 2D game) double-jumps, a selection of four difficulty settings and, of course, the option to have four players playing co-operatively online. Other new developments, however, may not be quite as welcome.
