Top 5 Sonic Games

Those pesky embargoes on Shadow Complex reviews were lifted this morning, so you'll be seeing a lot of those pop up today across the Internet. Check out Neoseeker's take on this solid platformer for Xbox LIVE Arcade, developed by Epic Games and Chair Entertainment.
Looks like a solid game, which you guys can expect to hit LIVE on Wednesday, August 19. Chair has stated there are no plans right now to release on PC, but it is not out of the question, by any means.
The hapless hero is getting to be rather popular as a video game archetype, and the appeal is obvious. In Shadow Complex, you take on the role of Jason Fleming, an average man with a military background who gets caught up in an elaborate conspiracy to bring down the U.S. government.
We start the game as someone else entirely and play through a prologue segment. Right off the bat, we know something fishy is going on, with government (or anti-government) conspiracies in play. It's a pretty juicy introduction, especially if you've been kept in the dark about Shadow Complex. Not the best place to get a hang of the controls though, since you come under fire after taking a few steps. Anyway, there's time for that later.
After the intro segment, some explosions, and heated exchanges, we finally meet Jason, who is on a hiking-date-outing-thing with his girlfriend, Claire. Shit hits the fan pretty fast when his girlfriend goes off ahead of him, only to be captured by some heavily-armed guys working for the Restoration, a terrorist organization trying to drag the country into civil war in order to "save" it. You sneak around with a flashlight and climbing gear, getting a feel for the basics, then watch her captors beat the crap out of her before Jason decides he's seen enough. Okay, Jason, time to get serious.
