Gaming life would be dull as dish water if we only ever got one of anything, which is why studios always release variations on a theme in a timely manner to compete for our genre attention. We've already had Forza Motorsport 2 this month, now let's take Colin McRae: DiRT for a spin with the critics.

So, Forza Motorsport 2 has certainly left its (skid) mark with the critics, notching up pretty impressive scores when the Turn10 next-gen racer screeched onto the Xbox 360 at the beginning of the month. However, that’s not to say that Forza is in a position to corner the racing market, at least not if Codemasters has anything to say about it.
