The game uses the now traditional point accumulation system, in which specific tasks award a set amount of points, building until one team reaches the target score – typically one thousand points. While kills may earn a handful of points and hacking an enemy control point a few more, the Dynamic Combat Missions (DCMs) system is where the real points lie. Generating team-based objectives mid-game, randomly selected from a small set of possible events, DCMs often engage teams in not only their aggressive pursuits, but defensive also. Deciding who and when to send team members from one objective location to the next plays just as vital a role in ensuring the squad presents a considerable variation of loadouts.
